Kabuli Pulao, Qabili Palaw or simply Pulao is an Afghan rice dish consisting of steamed rice mixed with lentils, raisins, carrots and lamb, chicken, or beef. It is the most popular dish in Afghanistan, and is considered the national dish


Ingredients:


Meat
  • 1000 g Chicken breast, boneless
Produce
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 cup Raisins
Canned Goods
  • 2 cups Water or chicken stock
Pasta & Grains
  • 2 cups Basmati rice/ Sella Rice
Baking & Spices
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom, ground
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves, ground
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp Saffron
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
Oils & Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable oil
Nuts & Seeds
  • 1 cup Almonds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin, ground
Liquids
  • 1 cup Water
